Cleansing or Detoxing: Passively, Assertively, Aggressively

We are alkaline by design and acidic by function, meaning digestion, breathing, thinking, negative feelings, physical stress, as well as our other bodily functions may create acid. When our acidity becomes predominant, our body  while working to protect us, may attempt to cleanse with or without our help. It’s much better  to be proactive about cleansing.  Ingesting what our body requires both for hydration and nutrition  can be considered  passively cleansing each day because our body can easily expel toxins given the correct balance of nutrition and hydration. We can also enhance passive cleansing.

When we are feeling a bit out of balance we can become more focused about what we are eating and drinking, i.e., cleanse assertively, and on occasion or for health reasons we may want to become very focused about cleansing and detoxing, which would be a more aggressive cleansing. In this last instance we are moving well beyond wanting better performance and toward the goal of moving our health to the next level

Below we will review  methods, processes, and applications for all three cleansing/detoxing styles, Passive, Assertive, and Aggressive Cleansing/Detoxing. Cleansing can be customized to your schedule, your needs, and your goals, it’s easy once you see the big picture, and grab the concept!

Ideally we should have enough alkalinity within us to neutralize acid rain from external or internal sources. Our bodies should be able to expel waste and toxins. However as our food, water, and air has become more and more degraded, as a consequence, most of us have run out our alkaline reserve and have become too acidic. Unfortunately being too acidic reveals itself in various symptoms of discomfort, and the need to cleanse.

It is up to each of us to determine where we are on the chart of health with regard to symptoms or performance, and then take steps to move from wherever we are into much higher performance through alkalizing and energizing. A good evaluation would be asking yourself if you have symptoms, chronic symptoms, have been diagnosed, or have organ issues, also known as dis-ease.

Another general term for pH balance or Alkaline/Acid as described by our mainstream medical community would be Homeostasis. It is very revealing in terms of your alkaline/acid balance, and how too much acidity can affect not only your physical structure and your life systems, but also your bodily processing.

Detoxing, or Cleansing is subjective, you can cleanse just by using passive cleansing products and putting some limitations on acidic foods, or limiting your diet to green foods that you chew thoroughly. You can also cleanse by pureeing your food while you do cleansing/detox products, or you can chew your food until it is puree, plus take cleanse products.

In an aggressive sense, liquid feasting is preferable to fasting in that you continue to hydrate well and receive lots of nutrition, however do stop bodily function of digestion. Cleanses can range from a day, two days, up through 21 days.

Regardless of how you cleanse, and for how long you cleanse, we should all be cleansing passively every day as we are all subjected to the elements and the food sources that are not optimal.

Ultimately, cleansing falls into Passive, Assertive, and Aggressive categories. Passive cleansing everyday, Assertive Cleansing occasionaly, and Aggressive Cleansing as you deem necessary.

Our body requires certain minimum daily levels of nutrition, and we require adequate hydration (meaning ingesting fluids which hydrate our various cells to their inherent levels). Therefore, especially while cleansing, it’s important to continue to meet or exceed those minimum requirements, but perhaps with a new perspective.  So, when we cleanse we optimally want to bring in lots of alkaline nutrition as our goal is to deliver nutrition and hydration to our blood stream, without the acidic process of digestion.

How Cleansing Works

We are comprised of mostly water (we should measure about 70% body water like the ocean which is salty like tears), with the minerals of the earth (like the soil our body works off of minerals). So like the earth we are 70% water and 30% mass.

When the water is clean and carries all the essential nutrition it needs, then the mass is clean and healthy as well.

 

When the water is not clean, the mass is not healthy, and we cleanse!

Cleansing is not about depletion, it’s about providing more hydration and nutrition under less acidic circumstances:

 

We must provide core or foundational nutrition to our bodies each and everyday. On the best day with the best food and water, we cannot meet our body’s minimal requirements. Whole food supplementation is a foundational element for any body to be healthy today.

  • When we utilize highly nutritious food but remove the “acidic function” which refers to the process of digestion, then we deliver high levels of nutrition directly to our body, without our body having to do any work.
    • Example: Pureeing vegetables will deliver the nutrition without digestion. Conversely, pureeing something acidic (like fruit, dairy) will deliver acid.
    • Example: Chewing easy to masticate foods like avocado and cucumber, meaning until there is nothing left, and swallowing, simulates pureeing, and delivers nutrition without acidic digestive process (your teeth did the work). Conversely, chewing a more fibrous vegetable would not, because your body would still need to break down the fiberous vegetable, no matter how well you chewed, i.e., creating acid through the digestive process.
    • Example: Low heat crock pot vegetable soups offer nutrition, although NO enzymes, and with very little effort can be chewed down to nothing, therefore delivered to the blood stream without the need for digesting.

 Assertive Cleansing

Feasting on highly nutritious alkaline foods and pure water, without going through the process of digestion, is the primary rule of thumb while cleansing. Another way to look at is you are putting your digestive system on vacation and drenching your body with both nutrition and hydration.

As you become more natural with cleansing, you will find that it is enormously beneficial and leaves you encouraged to cleanse again and again, as well as very motivated to develop your cleansing skills

Weekend Cleanse? Aggressive Cleansing:
