More importantly, do you know anyone having issues as described below, especially with vision, blurred or otherwise, dizziness, headaches, or ringing in ears? These are some of the more common symptoms of Aspartame Poisoning.
Aspartame is used as a sweetener in many foods and beverages today, it was once hailed as the dieter’s savior. Today it’s being revealed as a poisonous additive that can cause damage. Adults and children alike are consuming Aspartame and may not know the adverse side affects to their health. This is not a MINOR issue, it is affecting MANY of us.
From Aspartame Detox:
The multitude of aspartame side effects are indicative to your genetic individuality and physical weaknesses. It is important to put two and two together, nonetheless, and identify which side effects aspartame is creating within you.
Aspartame Side Effects
According to Lendon Smith, M.D. there is an enormous population suffering from side effects associated with aspartame, yet have no idea why drugs, supplements and herbs don’t relieve their symptoms. Then, there are users who don’t ‘appear’ to suffer immediate reactions at all. Even these individuals are susceptible to the long-term damage caused by excitatory amino acids, phenylalanine, methanol, and DKP.
Adverse reactions (short-term and/or long-term) and side effects of aspartame include:
blindness in one or both eyes
decreased vision and/or other eye problems such as: blurring, bright flashes, squiggly lines, tunnel vision, decreased night vision
pain in one or both eyes
trouble with contact lenses
tinnitus – ringing or buzzing sound
severe intolerance of noise
marked hearing impairment
headaches, migraines and (some severe)
dizziness, unsteadiness, both
confusion, memory loss, both
severe drowsiness and sleepiness
paresthesia or numbness of the limbs
severe slurring of speech
severe hyperactivity and restless legs
atypical facial pain
I suggest you look at switching to stevia and making your own beverages (and not the stevia sold in the stores that is cut with other products that have an aftertaste, but inexpensive, concentrated stevia extract only. The size of a sesame seed = 1 tsp sugar). Stevia is plant, healthy and good for you, tastes just like sugar as long as you don’t but the cut version. Beverage recipes I use everyday for Tea (red tea from So. Africa), lemonade, and juice drinks from concentrate – all with stevia. Everyone loves stevia, I haven’t found anyone that doesn’t including diabetics, children, and people hooked on Aspartame.
What is Stevia?
The family of extracts of the Stevia plant which are taken from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni plant. The extracts are known as Steviosides and Rebaudiosides depending on which part of the plant is isolated. These extracts are approximately 300 times sweeter than sugar unless diluted. In 1970 the Japanese began extracting the pure sweet powder found in the leaf for testing and commercial use. Stevia sweeteners have been fully approved and widely used in Japan since 1970 in food products and soft drinks and for table-top use. It is also fully approved and in use in Brazil, where it is also recommended for diabetics.
