YOU can make this Gorgeous GIFT sanitizer, hand wash, hand healing, or spa moment? YES!  This is the perfect economical  fun solution to gels and soap at every sink, etc. it is easy, fun, and luxurious! There doesn’t seem to be a shelf life, the oil protects the salt, the salt is a preservative, so the only downside is the scent may need to be refreshed:)
 
Salt is a natural cleanser (cleanses the ocean afterall), certainly kills bacteria, and salt is very alkaline, the oil is softening, the scent  refreshing, and all the rest, well, it’s heavenly! Your perfect scrub for cold weather, dry skin, or simply to treat yourself. Especially good if your hands are in and out of water all day, no dryness.  Great for home or office, anywhere really.

Well here you go, (Dollar Store) container with lid and ingredients are simple, oil, salt, and essential oils for fragrance – best of all, make it in 5 minutes for incredible  gift giving! Everyone loves this, men, kids, and of course women. I keep a bowl at every sink – no more soap in my house!

DIY SPA SCRUB for less than $5.00 (much less depending on ingredients), including container! Pictured is sea salt, grape seed oil, drops of essential oil, in a (dollar store) candy dish, all sitting nicely in my guest bathroom. Guests use it dry to wash their hands (massage themselves), rinse and not only is it anti-bacterial, it leaves your skin ooh la la soft and supple

With dry hands, scoop about 1/2 tsp into your palm, rub all over hands and wrists and be careful, I find myself standing thre for minutes on end before rinsing – simply rinse with water. Your hands are soft, clean, and you feel great!

As Pictured, my scrub is scooped into a $1 (candy dish  I believe, but filled with salt scrub, in this case, cut off chop sticks from a Chinese restaruant, and scotch tape wrapped to join top and bottom, makes it perfect to wrap in cellophane with a bow, or a bag with a fragile sign) you can see my glass dish with a lid.

NOTE:  I’ve placed in every bathroom, plus one at the kitchen sink ~ everyone looks forward to washing  their hands!

ALSO…..Not just for hands, but makes a great body scrub before a shower, foot scrub at the end of a hard day, just remember apply dry, then rinse!

My calculated cost:  $1 – $5 (I used Grapeseed Oil, WO Essential Oil Blend, Salt, and purchase containers at my local Dollar Store or department store).

Today I made 6 containerful  in one bowl, then scooped, sealed, and wrapped in clear saran wrap with a bow and Instructions “rolled as a scroll, attached with a ribbon“,  as follows:

Directions: Scoop 1/2 tsp (depending on the size of your hands), dry rub for 1 minute, rinse and dry!

Keep in mind when you read the ingredients that you can improvise, that’s how the best recipes are found! So if you already have a massage oil that’s scented, or maybe some salts that are already infused, you can change this up. The basic ingredients, salt, oil, scented essential oil, in whatever combination you like.ENJOY!You will need:Salt  (use inexpensive salt, not your unbleached sea salt,this may be the only time you want to buy bleached LOL)Grape Seed Oil or Massage Oil (cold pressed Grape Seed Oil is light and has no scent (it also can be used as a high heat cooking oil); can be found at your grocery store, and it’s also sometimes sold as a massage oil)Essential Oil Drops (any that you have on hand; lavender, peppermint essential oil drops work well – my personal favorite is Lemon with Spearmint, and I crush a few spearmint leaves in the mix)

NOW MAKE IT IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES: Directions: Pour about 1/4 cup of oil into a bowl, add salt until it mushes up like a white snow cone (see photo), add 20 – 30 essential drops in any combination, stir until it smells the way you would like it to smell. That’s it. You can adjust to the size of containers.

Dangers of GMO Sugar Beets

Sugar If a non-organic product made in North American lists “sugar” as an ingredient (and NOT pure cane sugar), then it is almost certainly a combination of sugar from both sugar cane and GM sugar beets.

Jill Bolte Taylor’s Stroke of Inspiration reveals the most fascinating information about our brains.

This is the one TED TALK that stands out in my mind (no pun intended) as one of the most revealing and enlightening educations about our brain. Fascinating information, left brain, right brain. I also believe it’s one of the first TED TALKs, and still remains in their top 10, please pass it along.

 Jill Bolte Taylor is a brain scientist who came out of nowhere (at least for me) and has truly become one of those “must hear from” human beings. I don’t recall exactly how long her talk is, but she is world renown now, and it is so very worthwhile to watch it all the way through, even if you have to leave it and come back.

Thimerosal (mercury) in Flu Shots & Vaccines is out of hand.

Any reasonable person would question why it is, that in 2010, our children are required to receive (count them) 24 mandatory vaccinations, when just one generation ago, 10 vaccinations was the requirement. I  personally compared my older children with my 14 year old’s records, then put those records against the number of injections today’s babies are recommended, and there is absolutely no way the increase can be justified. Join my FB, and see how a Vet, doctor for animals, minimizes vaccines for the family pets because he sees them as harmful, yet for our children the number of injections has compounded.

Another point of contention is that not only do today’s children receive many more vaccinations, Thimerosal (mercury) is still present at staggering amounts (the amount the FDA determines safe for a 275 lb man). So even after all the controversy and court cases, children especially, are given injections (vaccines and flu shots) which are frequently doubled up or even tripled.  Why?

Lemon, Mint, Garlic, Whirl (Dressing)

LEMON MINT WHIRL DRESSING w/garlic

This recipe is a longtime everyday dressing in Christine’s family, generational. Thanks so much, and everyone please enjoy!

So simple, yet a flavor difficult to describe, your taste buds and your nose will say French or maybe Lebanese, something exotic, but so purposeful and healthy, I can see how it becomes a staple dressing very quickly!
 

Ingredients

1/2 c. fresh squeezed lemon juice

4 med cloves of fresh garlic

Goodly handful of fresh mint (out of season 1 T. of more of dehydrated or dried)

1/2 tsp Real Salt, Celtic Salt, or Himalayan Salt

Cold Pressed Oil to liking (olive oil works great, as do others)
Blend (Tribest Personal Blender works great) or puree all ingredients, except oil, once emulsified add the oil slowly (pulsating) until you get the thickness of dressing you are prefer. 

PS Christine uses 1/2 olive and 1/2 sunflower, it’s also good with a bit of Sesame Oil and a dollop of Tahini!

Why McDonalds Burgers Have Not Decomposed since 1989 – believe it!

As another data point to our ongoing McDonald’s Burger series (and don’t think for a minute this is ONLY about McDonald’s or just Big Mac’s and Happy Meals), you’ll be surprised to learn at least one guy has been collecting McDonald’s burgers since the 1980’s, AND STILL HAS THEM!

Here is a great vid plus an excerpt from Natural News, they posted the original news story years ago on the McDonald’s Burgers bought in the 1980’s – watch the vid.

From Natural News….No normal animal will perceive a McDonald’s hamburger bun as food, and as it turns out, neither will bacteria or fungi. To their senses, it’s just not edible stuff. That’s why these bionic burger buns just won’t decompose.

Which brings me to my final point about this whole laughable distraction: There is only one species on planet Earth that’s stupid enough to think a McDonald’s hamburger is food. This species is suffering from skyrocketing rates of diabetes, cancer, heart disease, dementia and obesity. This species claims to be the most intelligent species on the planet, and yet it behaves in such a moronic way that it feeds its own children poisonous chemicals and such atrocious non-foods that even fungi won’t eat it (and fungi will eat cow manure, just FYI).

Asian & Unchicken Noodle Soup

Chopsticks are cool too!

This past weekend was certainly the time for grandma’s chicken noodle soup, so why not twist things up a bit and really make it special? Grandma didn’t know vegeheads!!

So this is my vegehead lovers, Asian food lovers, and Jewish chicken noodle soup lovers version of the Unchicken Noodle Soup!

The soup is really the great broth, veges and the noodles with the oil, so you can go with that for taste and wellness! And to add some manpower chunk/protein, we used Now & Zen Unchicken, but please use your  favorite tofu, or even real chicken (if it’s precooked)! (more…)
